We are pleased to present the July 2026 Analytical Report prepared by the experts of the Ukrainian Berries Association, along with the key findings on berry exports for the 2025/2026 season.

This report includes:

■ Weather conditions in Ukraine in July

• July was milder than in 2025, with an average temperature of 20.7°C (2.4°C lower than last year) and 69 mm of precipitation (13% above normal), creating favorable and moderately humid conditions for berry development and ripening.

■ Overview of the Ukrainian and EU berry markets in July

• Blueberries did not reach the usual seasonal price bottom. Spring frosts significantly reduced production volumes, resulting in a tight market and prices fluctuating between UAH 135–600/kg throughout the month instead of the typical midsummer decline.
• Other major berries reached their seasonal lows: raspberries traded at approximately UAH 170–200/kg, while the strawberry season came to an end.

■ Analysis of retail berry prices in the EU – climate pressure on competitors

• In Serbia, the 2026 raspberry harvest is estimated to be 20–30% below normal due to drought.
• In Poland, the harvest peak coincided with low procurement prices.

■ Frozen berry export performance in the 2025/2026 season

• Record raspberry export revenue: €250.8 million in the 2025/2026 season (+65% year-on-year), the highest figure ever recorded.
• Severe shortage of frozen blueberries (–69% in export volume) and moderate exports of other frozen berries (Eurostat data through May 2026).

■ Strong international demand

• The shortage of Serbian raspberries and the uneven situation in the Polish market are creating a favorable pricing window for Ukrainian frozen berry exports in the 2026/2027 season.

■ Regulatory updates, August weather outlook, and international trade fairs

• Restoration of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
• New EU Maximum Residue Level (MRL) for ethephon in blueberries, effective 19 August.
• Major international trade fairs to support export planning and market development.
